Every organization regardless of its scope and profitability scale must work to upscale itself. To do so various models frameworks and strategies are applied such as PRINCE 2 ITIL and COBIT. Most of these strategic frameworks are highly specific to the organizations' scope and their implementation is really helpful for their sustenance and growth.When discussing these frameworks it is essential to mention CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration). CMMI is a process-level improvement training and appraisal program designed for organizations. Knowing its importance the course developers at Exoexcellence Consultants decided to develop this introductory course for Alison’s students. With this introductory course students can build their foundations in CMMI and utilize their knowledge to help organizations achieve higher maturity levels in all their processes.The course comprises four topics. The first introduces readers to CMMI its maturity and capability levels. The second topic discusses model frameworks and process areas in CMMI. The third topic describes appraisals and assessments while the fourth discusses different data classifications and measurement types in the CMMI framework.
