This course will enhance your Spanish skills and help you gain confidence in your ability to speak the language. We have included several videos and auditory assets to assist your pronunciation and to improve your understanding at each stage so you feel assured and supported while learning the language. We begin by learning the vocabulary related to various parts of the body followed by examining words and phrases needed to explain certain medical conditions or terms commonly used in the medical field. Once you have a solid knowledge of these terms we use them to develop your grammar skills.The grammar section starts with an overview of modal verbs and we focus on how you use the modal verbs' poder' and 'podría' to talk about ability and possibility. We also teach you how to use these modal verbs to form questions and explore other uses of 'podría ' such as making requests or asking for permission. The grammar section ends with an overview of the modal verbs' deber' and 'tener que' and how they form affirmative and negative statements and questions.The final section offers reading and listening comprehension activities that reinforce the vocabulary and grammar you have learned throughout the course. We encourage speaking practice using the 'Ask and Answer' video footage before urging you to complete a downloadable writing exercise found in the 'Resources' section.
